RETAIL & ECOMMERCE CASE STUDY

Salido restaurant operations mobile app case study

VARTEQ developed an iOS application for Salido, with mobile access to restaurant performance data, menu workflows and operational information across locations. The work brought live data and day-to-day management tools into an interface built for restaurant operators.

OVERVIEW

Project overview

Restaurant managers need an up-to-date view of what is happening at their locations, especially when service is busy. Sales activity, open checks, menu changes and floor operations are harder to manage when information is spread across separate systems or available only on site.

VARTEQ worked on Salido's iOS application to make that information accessible on mobile. The source describes cloud-connected analytics, interfaces for menu and order information, and integrations with operational data services. The application was designed for operators responsible for more than one restaurant location.

WHERE THEY STARTED

The challenge

Operations that change by the minute

Restaurant operations change quickly during a busy shift. Managers need to see sales and open-check information, understand what is happening on the floor and keep menu information current. When these tasks depend on manual updates or disconnected tools, it becomes harder to act on the information in time.

Access away from the workstation

The mobile application needed to give operators access to relevant data without tying them to a particular workstation. It also had to work with restaurant systems and support use across multiple locations.

WHAT WE BUILT

The solution

  1. iOS application for restaurant operators

VARTEQ developed the mobile experience in Swift for iOS. The application included interfaces for operational information such as floor plans, tasks and restaurant status, so managers could check what needed attention while away from a fixed terminal.

  2. Live operational data and analytics

The app connected with cloud-based data services to display current restaurant information, including sales trends and open checks. API integrations brought that data into the mobile experience rather than requiring operators to review each source separately.

  3. Menu and order workflows

The application included dynamic menu-management interfaces and visual indicators for orders and their status. These elements made operational changes and kitchen-related information easier to see within the app.

  4. Multi-location access and integration

The source describes support for operators who oversee several restaurants, including user roles and access to shared operational information. VARTEQ's work connected the iOS interface with backend services that serve those workflows.

TECHNOLOGIES USED

  • Swift
  • iOS
  • Cloud APIs
  • Jira

WHAT CHANGED

The outcome

  • Restaurant operators gained mobile access to sales and other operational information described in the project scope.
  • Menu workflows, floor information and order-status indicators became part of a single iOS application experience.
  • Cloud-connected integrations made current information accessible across restaurant locations.
  • The application supported day-to-day restaurant management without requiring operators to remain at a fixed workstation.
