OVERVIEW

Project overview

Prosvita is an online learning platform for middle and high schools, private institutions and language courses. VARTEQ built it in 2020, when the pandemic closed classrooms and schools needed a way to keep teaching: live lessons, homework, grades and attendance had to work online for teachers, students, parents and administrators, many of them on phones.

Since then it has grown into a full learning management system (LMS) with more than 200,000 users. Public schools use it free; private institutions pay an annual subscription.

WHAT WE BUILT

The solution

  1. Live lessons and learning workflows

    • Live classes through Zoom and Google Meet links.
    • Lesson scheduling that syncs with student diaries.
    • Gradebooks, homework and attendance.
  2. Engagement and gamification

    • Points students earn for activity and grades.
    • Class rankings and sticker exchanges in a social feed.
    • Advanced training certificates for teachers.
  3. Mobile access and communication

    • Mobile apps with gradebooks, homework and chats.
    • Parental controls and messaging on smartphones.
  4. Administration and reporting

    • Separate roles for administrators, teachers, students and parents.
    • Quiz analytics and attendance reports.
    • Enrollment and billing for free public-school and paid private plans.

WHAT CHANGED

The outcome

  • Participating schools kept teaching online while classrooms were closed.
  • Teachers run lessons, homework, grading and attendance in one place.
  • Parents follow grades and homework from their phones.
  • Public schools use the platform free; private institutions have a paid plan.
  • More than 200,000 people now use Prosvita.
