Position Overview
We’re looking for an experienced Data Engineer (Python ETL Engineer) to join our team and lead the migration of data integration pipelines from Mulesoft and Informatica to Python-based solutions for a fintech company working with payment solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of ETL pipelines using Python to replace existing Mulesoft and Informatica solutions
- Architect robust, scalable, and secure data integration frameworks
- Implement ETL orchestration and monitoring systems to ensure data pipeline reliability
- Optimize data processing workflows for performance and efficiency
- Collaborate with DevOps, data teams, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality data solutions
Required Skills
- 6+ years of Python programming experience
- Strong ETL development experience (data extraction, transformation, loading)
- ETL orchestration and monitoring expertise
- Experience designing and implementing data pipelines at scale
Proficiency with databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB
Strong understanding of data integration patterns and best practices
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Apache Airflow or similar orchestration tools (Luigi, Prefect, Dagster)
- Experience with Mulesoft
- Experience with Informatica products
- Familiarity with AI development tools (Claude Code, Gemini CLI)
- Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration platforms
- Knowledge of cloud data platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Leadership experience
